Once my allergies hit, with total disregard for the rest of my life, in February, I start to worry about finding bathing suits for the upcoming season. Without sharing too much information, I have never fit into very traditional sizes. For me, bathing suits have many criteria to meet before I ever even wonder about its cuteness.
I was a lifelong fan of Victoria’s Secret’s bathing suits, despite the bra size inflation they are known for. I have tried countless other companies, and have come up disappointed most times. And now, they are no longer selling bathing suits. Maybe I was one of few who lived and died by them.
Anyway, not that any these bathing suits would ever fit my criteria, but I can live vicariously through my two teenage girls, both of whom don’t know anything about how gravity affects their bodies in their fourth decade.
And although they’ve bought their share of suits already for this year, I was completely taken aback by the catalog that arrived at my house today. Land’s End. Right. “Bathing suits” and “Land’s End” shouldn’t really be in the same sentence. Normally, the catalog would go straight to the recycle bin. I’m not a Land’s End kinda girl. Too much khaki and canvas. And buckles. But they’ve obviously kicked it into high gear this year, and have found some tremendously talented buyers, leaving me wishing we didn’t already splurge on those Target suits.
Best part….30% off for you and a friend…You’re welcome.
